When she's not teaching bike-riding, Susan ("the Bicycle Whisperer") McLucas works for women's right to their whole bodies, with Sini Sanuman (Healthy Tomorrow) in Bamako, Mali (more info at her website, StopExcision.net).

She also works for peace, participating for 9-years in a weekly vigil against the war (and earlier sanctions) on Iraq, and organizing for the detainees at Guantanamo and elsewhere.

Susan has lobbied for impeachment of Bush and Cheney and worked to expose the underbelly of US foreign policy - secret wars, political assassinations and outright lies.

She lives in a co-op house.
